In July 2010, the Milwaukee Urban Entertainment Alliance (MUEA), African World Festival (AWF) and Gee’s Clippers partnered up and brought the city of Milwaukee an event entitled, “The All White Affair on the Lake” (www.AllWhiteAffairMilwaukee.com) at Discovery World. Generations ranging from the ages of twenty one through eighty enjoyed an evening of live music, fireworks, and dancing by the scenic lakeside. Various promoters, marketers, citizens and sponsors teamed up to help make this one of Milwaukee’s most memorable events.
African World Festival, Twin Towers Entertainment, TaylorSmith Productions and the Milwaukee Urban Entertainment Alliance will join forces on Friday, November 26th, 2010 (the day after Thanksgiving, “Black Friday”) to do it again! The ballrooms of the beautiful and renovated Crown Plaza Hotel located at 6401 S. 13th, will be the host location of the 2nd Annual “The Blackout II: The All Black Gala.” Enjoy the evening in an ambiance of our attendees wearing their finest all black, After 5 attire in an upscale environment with live performances and music from some of Milwaukee’s hottest entertainment.
The evening cannot end without giving special recognition to MUEA’s Marketing Director and Stick 2 The Script President, Mr. Mike Whittley and MUEA’s November Birthday Honorees.
This year’s event is sponsored in part by Fresh Coast Classic (FCC), a regional classic tournament showcasing basketball teams from well-known Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) and Milwaukee area high schools.
