Organizing Schools for Improvement: Lessons from ChicagoIt has been five months since I talked about education in general and specifically here in Chicago. Much has happened since that time. This year has special significance in education because of the program Renaissance 2010, touted to improve the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system when it began some years ago. Has the school system gotten better? The current budget for CPS will be analyzed and questions raised where appropriate.

The political climate in Chicago is unstable now, so there is hope for positive changes in the schools.
