SESC's Homesharing Workshop @ Soundtrack Recording Studio
What is Homesharing?
Homesharing is an innovative housing program designed to match non-related people (adults, couples, older adults, single parents) together in roommate situations that are beneficial to both participants in the match. .
Who can Homeshare?
Anyone can homeshare. The matching requirements followed by the CSH Program are that all persons in the match must be 18 years of age or older and that each person has his/her own bedroom.
Why Homeshare?
Homesharing has effectively helped a wide range of individuals, including: people who need temporary housing after a job relocation or personal transition (death or divorce); people who need housing while pursuing academic endeavors; homeowners who need extra dollars or help with home maintenance; or people who simply enjoy the added security of sharing a home with someone else.
What is the Application Process?
After completing an application (complete with references), applicants meet with a CSH housing coordinator to assess their particular housing needs.
How Can I Get More Information About SESC’s CSH Program?
There are informative meetings scheduled throughout the year. The next meeting is scheduled to bee held at the “Soundtrack Recording Studio” located 3276 W. Columbus (near 79th & Kedzie):
Sunday, January 10th at 3:00p.m. – 4:30p.m.
Tuesday, January 26th at 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
